Sampling for volatile compounds
When sampling soil and water for analysis of volatile compounds, it is crucial that due care is taken to avoid losses. One important factor to avoid samples being compromised is use of appropriate sampling containers. ALS recommenrs sampling directly into head-space vials.

Passive sampling of VOC
ALS now offers a passive sampling method for volatile organic compounds. It provides an easy and efficient way to perform field work. After recovery of the sampler, an aliquot is transferred to a vial and analyzed using standard methods. By using this method in combination with our other passive sampling methods, a good overview over a longer time period is achieved.
